From day one Aaron came in eager to make an impact and elicit buy-in from the athletes. He was able to demonstrate control in a CFL environment consisting of over 90+ players during training camp, and over 50+ professional athletes through the regular season and playoffs, both on-field and in the weight room. We hired him because of his extensive knowledge & experience, but in our environment it’s a challenge to apply what you know until the players know how much you care! Aaron was able to break through barriers with the guys by being a good listener and by being what’s most important – ‘available.’ Another true strength of Aaron’s is program design! He was able to create a program that was not only scientifically proven but also responsible for results amongst our players. I believe that Aaron’s program was a massive contribution to the BC Lions being the team with the lowest amount of man games lost to injuries in the 2016 CFL season. Aaron also went out of his way to learn how to do every aspect of the job as a pro strength coach in the CFL; he is a guy I want on my team & I would highly recommend him!

Basketball BC hired Aaron in the Spring of 2016 to train our High Performance Elite Provincial Teams as well as our High Performance Individual Training in both our POD and CP programs. As an elite athlete, much of my life has been about training and simply trying to find ways to become the best in my sport. I am fortunate enough to have met Aaron who has provided me with an abundance of knowledge and support to bring me one step closer to the top. He is extremely passionate about what he does and is always willing to do whatever he can to help out. One of the biggest reasons I looked into personal training was to help increase my all around fitness levels. On my own, I find it easy to “cop” out and not do that last rep or get bored of the same sort of routine. Aaron was able to tailor a workout plan that fit my goals and my lifestyle. He does a great job explaining the abc’s of your workout so that you maximize your results. He has also taught me a lot of exercises I never knew of that made the workout more dynamic. As a police officer, I believe overall fitness is a large factor that will bring you home at the end of your shift. Having the strength and endurance to hang in there if something goes sideways is huge. After the last 3 months working with Aaron I can honestly say I feel more awake, I have more energy, and I’ve noticed positive changes in the mirror. I will definitely be back in the gym with Aaron as soon as possible!

Previously I considered exercise to be a chore, but after training with Aaron I find myself itching to hit the gym on a regular basis. I failed the police recruit fitness test, but passed after working with Aaron even though I was asked to re-take it earlier than expected. His training also got me ready for the police academy at the JIBC. Now I have made it into my policing career, where Aaron’s training helped prepare me for staying safe and fit on the job.

I met Aaron about half year ago and had an amazing 2 months with him. My goals were to have good overall fitness and also pass the POPAT in the future. Also I had some concerns with previous injuries – but not anymore! Aaron’s knowledge and skills are exceptional, and he gave me a better understanding of movement quality and proper technique. He found my problems, worked on them, and fixed them while keeping the sessions fun(ny) and motivating. In the end, he creates a training plan for me that is easy to follow but highly effective. I am currently in a martial arts class with the Vancouver Police Department and I am so glad that I came to know Aaron! Without his guidance I wouldn’t be able to achieve this fitness level. I started working with Aaron in the fall of 2012 after an exhaustive search for back pain relief. While there was no single event that triggered my injury, finding a diagnosis for my chronic pain seemed impossible. Aaron’s approach to pain is different; he explained that he’d search out and mend dysfunction, not chase pain. Within 2 weeks I started to feel better; by 4 weeks my back pain was 90% gone. Through the process we discovered that my back pain was caused by a dysfunctional hip and with exercises to correct it, my pain is gone. I grateful to Aaron for helping me regain my health and for inspiring me to achieve more than I envisioned for myself in my fitness journey!
